About FARO

FARO is an application being developed under Aspired’s expertise. The app, which is in Spanish, allows customers to interact with their favorite restaurants and make reservations. Users can search for a restaurant near their location, and view timings and other details, as well as contact restaurant managers or owners through a chat feature to make reservations. Around 60% of the app is developed, but will be launched in a month’s time.

Why FARO Reached Out to Aspired

When the client reached out to have this app built, Aspired accepted the request without hesitation because we had the necessary expertise. Aspired’s resource specialists began by analyzing the app and then created a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) to ensure that development tasks were delegated to the right technical resources.

It’s noteworthy to mention that the app already had some parts of it built by the client’s previous team. However, Aspired was keen to take on this project, but this meant going through the existing code to rectify code structures and align them for seamless developmental progress.

It was a significant undertaking for Aspired to create two interfaces: one for the customer, and the other one for the restaurant. Such an app necessitated a robust interface for both parties to quickly and smoothly interact seamlessly.

This app caters to a Spanish-speaking audience. However, the technical leadership on the client’s side communicates with us in English, and Aspired translates the required content for the app to meet end users’ needs.

Resource Alignment Under Aspired

Aspired accepted the challenge and quickly mobilized the resources required. The project was initiated by aligning a team with expertise in PHP and Flutter to first of all review the existing code. The list of resources included:

Current Status

The team made significant progress in record time, as Aspired's team progressed ahead of project completion deadlines with three sprints already delivered to the client. Though the target for project completion was set for the next three months, the team looks forward to getting it done much sooner. The app will launch in a month’s time.
